In December of 2004, the first History of the Christmas Tree Walk began when the owners opened their 9,500 sq. ft. log home to the public to view over 30 decorated Christmas Trees, each decorated with a different theme or from a different period in history. The ornaments, decorations and other holiday displays offered each visitor to the home an insight into Christmas history from the 1850s until the present. That first year, there were more than 800 visitors. In 2019, there were more than 220 trees decorated, and over 4,500 people visited the home! Many families now make the History of the Christmas Tree Walk a yearly tradition.
The log home has three levels which are accessible by log stairs. The house is not handicap accessible. Persons who have difficulty walking or climbing stairs will only be able to access the lowest level of the home. There is no smoking allowed on the shuttle or in the home. Refreshments that are purchased at the office cannot be consumed at the log home. Visitors to the Walk will be asked to cover their shoes with plastic shoe protectors that will be provided at the door to the home. Alternately, shoes or boots can be removed upon entering the home, if desired. Children are welcome, but must remain with their parents at all times and cannot be allowed to handle objects in the home or on the trees. No strollers will be allowed in the house. Pets are not allowed. Cameras are welcome. Thank you for your consideration and your patronage.

Will Call Information
Will Call orders are held at the Ticket Counter that is inside the ThumbPrint News office, located at 8061 Marsh Road, Algonac, MI 48001. This is only for the Standard Tour and Ornaments. They can picked up the night you visit the Walk.
Standard Tour Tickets will be placed in an envelope labeled with the purchaser's name for tickets purchased online, over the phone with Will Call being chosen or after December 1.
Ornaments will all be labeled with the purchaser's name and set aside. A voucher will be placed in an envelope labeled with the purchaser's name.
Deluxe Tour Tickets are a set price and must be purchased at least 48 hours in advance of your preferred Deluxe Tour date & meal time. More information can be found on the Deluxe Tour page of the website.
Standard Tour Discount Ticket pricing is available to everyone July 1 through November 30. No additional discounts are available. To lock in the discounted rate, you must call by Midnight on November 30. If we do not answer, please leave a message with your name and phone number in order to receive a return call.
Standard Tour Ticket prices go up starting on December 1.

Standard Tour Tickets ordered by phone can be mailed up through November 30. Starting December 1, all pre-purchased tickets will be held at Will Call.
Standard Tour Tickets ordered online will not be mailed. They are Will Call only, you will receive a confirmation email.
Deluxe Tour Tickets will not be mailed. They are digital and will be emailed upon purchase.
These commemorative ornaments are available for pre-sale for $15 (+tax). They can be picked up at Will Call the night you visit the Walk. No shipping is available for this item. If there are remaining ornaments during the Walk, they will be available for purchase.

Deluxe Tour Tickets MUST BE purchased at least 48 hours in advance of your preferred tour date & meal time. Minimum of 5 openings filled for tour. If minimum is not reached by 48 hours prior to date & meal time, persons will be called and offered either a full refund or the opportunity to join a tour at another date & meal time that reaches the minimum.
Deluxe Tour Tickets are transferable to a different date & meal time upon availability, please call (810) 794-2300 to handle any ticket transfers and refunds.
Deluxe Tour Ticket Refund Policy: 50% refund up to 90 days prior; 25% refund 89 to 30 days prior; 10% refund 29 to 1 day prior; 0% refund for day of; 100% refund if initiated by the event owner.
Standard Tour Tickets are non-refundable, but are transferable.
Ornaments are non-refundable.
